About CYP

CYP Association was founded in 2003 by the five largest Swiss banks in collaboration with the Swiss Bankers Association. We are the competence center for training and further training for banks in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, employ around 80 people, operate in four languages and offer our services at a total of 11 locations for over 5,000 people per year. The main tasks of CYP are the training of prospective employees as a practical training organization at banking sector and the further training of employees who work in the banking sector. Our strengths lie in our banking expertise competence, our many years of professional experience and practical relevance, as well as in the support, coaching and potential development of our clients. All our offers are based on a unique training concept. It corresponds to the latest findings in neurology, is empirically based and is continuously being developed.

Range of services

Basic education

Bank Commercial apprenticeship and KV BM Fokus: We are the leading provider of inter-company courses in basic banking training. Around 90% of all apprentices in the commercial banking sector in Switzerland take part in our inter-company courses, which consist of around 29 modules per year. Bank apprentices from the IT, mediamatics, D&A, customer dialog, web design and application development departments acquire basic banking knowledge in the BankFit course. And the basic training course "Bank Entry for Secondary School Graduates" (BEM) is the ideal start to a career in banking. The training lasts approximately one year and includes an internship at the bank as well as classroom courses at CYP.

Further training‍

The "Banking & Finance Essentials" course is for career changers in banking and can be completed on a part-time basis. Participants choose the modules and the appropriate combination of face-to-face and distance learning. In the further training for "Praxisausbilder:in", participants acquire didactic and methodological skills and learn how to professionally support learners in their individual learning processes. The "Skills 4.0" course is attended by bank employees who want to expand their personal and digital skills. The "Banking Operations Future-Fit" course is for back-office employees who want to prepare themselves for the future requirements of Banking Operations with new skills.
